rosearcadia:

Love that she’s not well known.  She looks great for the role.
I just love all of Eric’s women in this book/film!
mooncarol:

crazyhomosapiens:

Robert Pattinson & Sarah Gadon / Eric Packer & Elise Shifrin so excited to see that couple on screen

Have no idea who she is. I was hoping for some well known young actress. Still crying over Marion. Well, we’ll see…

jeezzz… that girl is really gorgeous!

Eric in the diamond district:

Hundreds of millions of dollars a day moved back and forth behind the walls, a form of money so obsolete Eric didn’t know how to think about it. It was hard, shiny, faceted. It was everything he’d left behind or never encountered, cut and polished, intensely three-dimensional. People wore it and flashed it. They took it off to go to bed or have sex and they put it on to have sex or die in. They wore it dead and buried.

*nsfw* “There were three hundred naked people sprawled in the street. They filled the intersection, lying in haphazard positions, some bodies draped over others, some leveled, flattened, fetal, with children among them. No one was moving, no one’s eyes were open. They were a sight to come upon, a city of stunned flesh, the bareness, the bright lights, so many bodies unprotected and hard to credit in a place of ordinary human transit.”

I was looking for something completely different on google when I stumbled upon this Esquire magazine article and “short story” by Don DeLillo. Lo and behold, my favourite part (one of anyway) of Cosmopolis with handy visual.
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

Something passed between them, deeply, a sympathy beyond the standard meanings that also encompassed these meanings, pity, affinity, tenderness, the whole physiology of neural maneuver, of heartbeat and secretion, some vast sexus of arousal drawing him toward her, complicatedly, with Ingram’s finger up his ass.

“He stood a while longer, watching a single gull lift and ripple in a furl of air, admiring the bird, thinking into it, trying to know the bird, feeling the sturdy earnest beat of its scavenger’s ravenous heart.”
